PISCO K 1753
The origins of Pisco dates back to 1532 with the Spaniards arrival to the Andeans. These origins are hotly contested by Chileans who claim to have distilled the first Pisco ahead of the Peruvians.
In 2013, the European Commission, an extension of the European Union, granted Peru claim to be
the geographical origin of the distilled spirit.
Pisco is defined as an "unaged grape brandy", only certain grapes from controlled
regions are harvested and used to distill true Pisco.
During the Gold Rush of 1848, Peruvian Pisco made its way North to San Francisco, where it gained celebrated fame and popularity resulting in the creation of the Pisco Punch cocktail.
The proprietors of Squaw BevCo have spent years working in Peru and while searching for the finest Piscos, discovered BellaVista Pisco, a seven generation Pisco Bodega. Family owned and operated, the Bodega BellaVista is devoted to distilling the finest Piscos. Since 1753, the family legacy has refined a proprietorial process of distillation, their Pisco is now offered available in the most influential restaurants of Peru.
Squaw Bevco now proudly announces our brand, PISCO K 1753, distilled in collaboration with Bodega BellaVista, honoring their founding year, and artfully bottled in custom Venetian glass.
